Project Description: The Quantum Computing Project aims to set up a permanent quantum mechanics and computation training program that (1) presents the fundamentals of the field in an accessible way to underclassmen, (2) provides opportunities to learn about applications to quantum mechanics such as laboratory tours, and (3) constructs a “quantum” makerspace for students to immerse themselves in a university-level quantum-research project. Funds were granted for compensation and initializing lab processes, e.g. through hardware and software.
